completion

Finally completed and posted my 2nd assignment. Whenever I need to complete an assignment, I can feel the immese stress and pressure. Dun think it is very healthy as I think over dosage of stress can lead to madness... especially when all things come at the same time.

Hope the last one ends soon so that I can start preparing for the exams!

Hubby will be coming wif me tomorrow. Both of us hope that things will turn out well. Trying not to be too paranoid and taking things to our stride ;)

restless

I have been trying to complete my assignment, but this was a really tiring week... well, which week hasn't I been lethargic? ;) Once again, I've set the deadline for my assignment to be this coming Sunday. I just need to hang on for the next 3 days...I know that I can go on and survive this.

Read hubby's blog and I also hope that he will succeed in completing his studies. All the best to you, love! Right wif you all the way! I was pleasantly surprised when Hubby came home earlier than expected. He din call to say he was on his way. He took a cab home because he brought back really nice boxes of mooncakes from tong le.

The designs on the mooncake boxes are really exquisite - the usual 1960s Chinese ladies looking very demure and with a sweet smile. The other one was with the chinese character "Le" meaning happy. I certainly hope that the mooncakes will bring a smile to who ever eats them. Hopefully they taste as good as they look. Heh.

Gotta control eating too much mooncakes. My colleague just reminded me that each mooncake consists of over a thousand calories. Wonder how long it takes to burn them all up considering the fact that I sit after eating and only use my fingers to do all the work. Just weighed myself and I dun think I would stand on the machine again..... Hehe...maybe, some time later, when I have the courage.

Bro

I was pleasantly surprised when bro called my in school yesterday to congratulate me on my "good" result for my assignment. He was very naughty though...

B: Hello... may I speak to Ms J L please... (in an American accent)
J: Yes speaking... who is this on the line?
B: This is your bro calling from Austin...

He sounded so much like an ang-moh over the phone that I could not recognise his voice...naughty boy. It was sweet of him to call home, all the way from wherever he is...
Thank goodness, it was just after school, or else I would not be able to speak to him ;)

Dinner on Sunday

MIL cooked something different for dinner on Sunday... we had "dong gua" soup. It was much better than the "fu-zhou" fishball soup. Quite yummy in fact. I had an additional serving after dinner. Heh! We had salmon and chicken wings too. There was quite a wide spread compared with her usual way of cooking.. I think she was in a good mood that day. ;)
Hubby and I enjoyed ourselves...

End of the week - almost

It is almost the end of the week. Thank goodness, there is no teaching tomorrow. Without my speakers, it is really straneous on the vocals. I'm down for the LC duty and would only be free after school... well, not really, as I would need to print around 100 copies of envelopes for the Children's Day celebration. Really hope that the teachers in the school appreciate the hard work Wen and i put in for these envelopes! Definitely hope that the colour printers will last. ;)

Hubby finally got his own blog at wordpress. Sometimes reading someone else's blog is just like reading someone's secret diary. It's quite scary, come to think of it! But because of curiosity, it's not easy to ignore the contents. Heh!

Time flies.. I would need to prepare for my next TMA again. Bu hu hu...

Last 2 days

After tomorrow, I'll be back at work for another 11 weeks before my next break. Phew! That is inclusive of my examinations on the first week of school break.

I'm back at my IL after a week of stamping and jumping clay. I noticed hubby doesn't eat much here compared to dinner at my place. But it's true... I shouldn't complain as I dun help out in my MIL's kitchen. We have been having "fu-zhou" fishballs every dinner (Saturday and Sunday). There is no variety and today's dinner was just as bad. Again, I am not complaining here as I can't cook as well. But sometimes we are so used to my mum's cooking, that IL's cooking just falls flat. Hopefully, when I take over the kitchen one day, I will follow in my mum's footsteps - that is, when we have our own nest and privacy, and time .. heh!

Away

Hubby is going away for 1 day and 1 night to Kl for a meeting. He enjoys flying around and I am not able to go with him even though it is my term break! Argh! It's all because of the lecture tomorrow nite...

Talking about the lecture, I would be meeting phy for the tma discussion. Have not finished reading the designated chapters.

Meeting my colleages later for a art course. Hope it ends on time so that i can meet hubby on time to send him off at the airport. I may leave earlier just to meet him. hehe...

Hope he enjoys himself there.(^,^)

Sick

Poor me... I must have over-worked. When I got up early this morning, I starting on my stamping yet again... the unfortunate thing had to happen to me. I started feeling tired around the back of my neck and then the uncomfortable feeling in the stomach... I had the urge to puke and I DID just that. *sigh*

My arms were aching again and I thought it had gone away after a good sleep last nite. It came back. I can feel the strain even at this very moment. Wonder when will it go away.

Hubby was sweet... we'll be eating our favourite porridge at holland V. ;)

Made these for Children's Day.

Miniature clothes pegs (wooden or coloured)
Jumping clay
Patience

Hope the kids will like it.

Hobbies and studies

Today is the second day (of the week) of the term break. Haven't done much for this break. Hehe... Was in school yesterday and went shopping for Children's Day. Su and I bought quite a lot this time round. After that I went to visit gramps and that was the end of day 1.

I started day 2 with my hobby - stamping. After this, I will be doing jumping clay. Would like to make something for my ex-pupils. I will surely miss them when they graduate.

Would be studying from tomorrow.... got to catch up with my reading.

Happy Teachers' Day

To all teachers out there - Happy Teachers' Day!

The well-deserved break is FINALLY here!

sleepless

I had a sleepless nite. Could not sleep till 3 a.m. Hubby was snoring away and I could not wake him up. Hehe... I think I was very bad in the sense that I wanted him to keep me company. But he was sleeping like a log. There was NO way he would wake up. The best part was - he opened his eyes blinked a little and went back to sleep again, despite having the lights on!

The next morning, he was wide awake and I was the grumpy and tired one. I think it must be the milk tea I had in class last nite. Sweet and potent! It would be useful if I want to burn the midnight oil. But it is not me to stay up late. I think I am more of a morning person. I will have horrible 'panda' eyes and no amount of SKII eye mask is going to help. Hopefully, things would be better tonite. Hope I knock out!

I am actually feeling the toil now. But I have to hang on or it will be a sleepless nite for me again.
