Hubby

My dear hubby has fallen ill. He is one of those who does not fall sick easily. So you can imagine whenever he does fall sick, it would be quite serious. He is having a fever due to the outing he had yesterday. He was complaining of tiredness on the way home and must have caught the cold when bathing with cold water. Poor thing! On the other hand, he could take this opportunity to have a good rest. It had been a long and tiring week for him too.

Completed
On a lighter note, I have completed my assignment. It is indeed a load off my mind as I would need to get it posted out tomorrow, after school. It would be a long day for me as I will have my CCA, which ends at 5.30p.m. Must be positive, as it is the last week of school term. Hurray!

Good news - no school during the 1 week break. (1st time ever)

Bad news - work and slog like a cow after the break till the end of the year and after MY examinations.

Hubby, get well soon...
I suppose you should be well when you get to read this ;)

Busy week

It has been a really busy week for me at work. Has been standing and talking for long hours and have to end my day with my assignment. The assignment has been weighing on my mind and I certainly hope to end it by this Sunday.

When I return to school next week, I would have to concentrate on my markings. It would be a mad week as well. With the checking of books and files, and my absence from school for the past 1 week, it is going to be a challenge to clear my marking. ;( Hope that the relief teacher could help me clear the bulk of it. It would certainly make the collection much easier.

Hubby

I missed him very much! Haven been really talking to him for this whole week. He has been coming back late because of his meetings, dinners and other commitments. We hardly spoke to each other. In fact, we only managed to speak to each other for less than an hour everyday. So sad,... he will be flying to KL during my term break. I can't fly with him as I have my lessons. *SIGH*

Boo-hoo-hoo... hubby juz called to say that he wil be back at 10+tonite. He will be drinking with his friends. Poor me. I'm stuck doing work at home. Mmm.... I must really enjoy myself this coming holiday. Really need to de-stress and re-charge! Hmm...
Hope we could spend some time together after he comes back.

This reminds me of a colleague who has a very loving and doting hubby. He would drop all his work no matter how busy to have tea with his wife. Very happy for her and it makes me kind of wonder what will my marriage life be when I come to her age. They have being married to each other for more than 30 years, yet, they are still so loving and caring towards each other. It really makes one envious of them.

Enough nagging for the day. It's back to work.

computer

The internet connection at IL seemed to go ka-put after Hubby recorded a HK drama last Sunday. We were out of touch with the internet world for 48 hours. We felt funny not being able to check out mails and surf the net AND completing my assignment. ;)

Would have to type out at least one quarter of my assignment by today. So that I can take the whole of next week to complete it. Seemed like a tough question. Needed lots of reading (as usual) and gathering of information.

Hubby gave me a few links to home-made cards. Wonder when will I be able to focus on that alone. I guess I would need to be practical, make time to really get serious with my hobby.

Giddiness is still sticking around. *sniff sniff* Please make it go away.

Target

*Sigh*... didn't meet my targets last weekend. Was on MC on Monday and Tuesday was just as packed as Wednesday. Running nose isn't any better. I have been avoiding taking any medications even if prescribed by the doctor as I'm afraid it will jeopardise the chances of *u-know-what*. But I could take it no more.

I have been feeling giddy for the past 4 - 5 days or so. The giddiness is getting worse. No matter which position I tilt my head or lower my neck, the room spins! I finally popped in a pill to kill the flu bug. Hope it takes the flu and giddiness away. Fingers and toes crossed!

Bro has been away for 2 months now... and hopefully the home computer hangs on without him. Hubby said the hard drive does not sound rite. For the 1st time, I hope he is wrong or else if it goes ka-put on us, it'll mean $$$ to be spent on a new one. Sis has been complaining that the system hangs at times. Hope that there is no problem with it.

School

Finally got what I wanted from school-LSM. But no.2 told me today that they were reluctant to give it to me because I told them that I would leave one day. Frankly, I didn't expect her to remember till now. It was a long time ago since I told her that. So she said as long as I stay on, the post is mine. Which means to stay in Singapore for the next few years. But on the other hand, my wish is my hubby's wish too.... hope he graduates soon.

Tiring today even though I did not teach. But I find it even more tiring if I do nothing. Came back in the late afternoon and marked a set of test papers. Shoulders and neck aching. Head throbbing and spinning. Wonder when will all these end!!!!!?
Tomorrow isn't any better. Immediately after school, it's off to buzz in the bus. And right after that, I've got tutorial till 10pm. It's gonna be a long long day for me. *Phew*

Gotta get back to reading after this. 1 more chapter to go and hopefully start typing this weekend. Hopefully - at least one quarter. Hehe...

Exercise

Ha! And we thot we'd wake up at 7.30 this morning to go to the gym. But we kinda 'didn't hear the alarm' and went back to sleep. Tried to wake him up, but his reply was 'will wake up soon'.

Had my 1st lecture yesterday. Lecturer was humourous as usual. She actually mimiced babies babbling and cooing. Very dramatic. For the 1st time, I think the lecture theatre was packed with students. Everyone enjoyed her lectures. She's never boring, and she never fails to make you laugh.

I intend to study at least 2 chapters this weekend. Have to complete reading and write out the skeleton for the assignment and start writing proper next weekend. The deadline is creeping in real soon. Dun like the feeling of that. To top it up, there are other deadlines in school. 1 thing at a time, I suppose.

Mummy

Mum sprained her leg on her way home 2 days ago. Only managed to see her today, after i get back from my IL. Advised her to see a sin-seh, but she refused the offer, as usual. Just keeping fingers and toes crossed that she can recover fast with her own remedy. Otherwise, we'll just march her to the nearest sin-seh.

Told bro about her and mum was wondering why I told him. Even though she doesn't say it, I think she misses him and it's only proper that he was informed. Maybe he'll call to ask about her, or maybe not.

Hubby walked me to the block before going to work. Hoping that he has a fruitful day and comes back recharged. It's interesting... he gets recharged whenever he works and tired when resting. Interesting man! I'm the opposite. I could feel the stress creeping in slowly into my body when school starts. Gotta perk up and put myself in a positive mindset! I know both of us can succeed in our careers. We just have to do it! YES!

Would be getting my usual dosage of bread for tomorrow's breakfast and maybe some cheese to go along. Hubby should try. He may like it even if it stinks after eating. Anyway, cheese is rich in calcium.

Nation's Birthday

Today is Singapore's 41st Birthday! Happy Birthday, Singapore!
As usual, there are many Sales and offers in the malls around the island. You have to be early or you'd be left with all the odd sizes and colours.

This year's celebration is held at the National stadium. It will be the last year for celebration as they are closing the stadium for renovation. I was at my in-laws and we watched the parade and celebration together. I must say that the events were simply amazing! I enjoyed myself thoroughly especially we could view the fire-works from just outside our windows. The colours from the fire-works were beautiful. It was breath-taking. The organizers and participants really put in a lot of effort to the make the show a great success! 3 cheers for all of them!

The mood in the stadium was definately high! It brings me back to the time when was younger, I participated in the flash cards segment ... time really flies :)

The theme song for this year's national day was sang by "Gong Si Jia". She has a powerful voice and I think the song really adds on to the mood. Even though she wasn't as popular as Stefanie Sun, or at least not as good looking as her, her singing would make you remember her.

Wonder what the next celebration will be. Hubby said planning for the next one starts almost immediately after this. Certainly hope that it will be just as enjoyable.
